Face Rating Test

It is late, you have a bus-stop selfie where the light was weirdly perfect, and you want a second opinion. Drop it in here and the Face Rating Test gives it a kind score out of 10, one of five face types, and twelve sub-scores across three dimensions: bone structure, skin, and features, plus makeup and style tips to match. It is a party trick, not an assessment: the numbers come from a fingerprint of the photo file, so the same picture always gets the same result and nothing about your face is judged. The photo stays on your device the whole time.

  • Ages 13+. Just for fun.
  • Your photo never leaves your browser.

Questions people ask

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The photo is opened, fingerprinted and drawn entirely inside your browser tab. There is no upload step and no server that could receive it. Once the page has loaded you can switch on airplane mode and the test still works.

How is the score worked out?

The page reads your photo file and turns its bytes into a SHA-256 fingerprint, a long string of letters and numbers. That fingerprint picks the score, the face type, and the twelve sub-scores across bone structure, skin, and features. Nothing looks at your face, and there is no AI involved, so the score says nothing about how anyone looks. It is just for fun.

Why does the same photo always get the same result?

Same file, same fingerprint, same result. Crop it, edit it or pick a different shot and the fingerprint changes, so the result changes too.

Why are all the scores high?

Because this is a party game, not a judge. Every overall score lands between 7.0 and 9.6, and every face type is a positive description. Scores always stay in a flattering range.

Who is the Face Rating Test for?

Anyone aged 13 or older who wants a laugh. Please only use photos of yourself, or of friends who said yes.

Can I share my result?

Yes. Save result card makes a PNG with your overall score, face type, and dimension scores. Your photo stays off the card unless you tick the box. On phones, Share opens your share sheet; elsewhere it copies a link.

Just for fun. The Face Rating Test never looks at faces, and the scores say nothing about how anyone looks.
